About Me

Five Dollars or the Truth CD available now!! Pay with PayPal using the button below. See the blog above for details.
Daphne Denniston was born on a train passing through New York City. She took her first steps in Central Park and has been on the run ever since. A background check will show past addresses in Connecticut, NYC, Texas, Pennsylvania and California, but ask her where she’s from and she’s just as likely to tell you Montana.
Daphne got a late start robbing banks - but she was a natural. It took a little more prompting for her to start playing her songs for people, but she soon found that writing a good song was almost as satisfying as the feel of cold metal and 45 calibers.
Putting bankrobbing on the backburner, Daphne sold the 34-foot Winnebago, put her guns on lockdown, and started writing songs. So here she is. If she disappears again, look for her in Mexico, with a wide-brimmed hat, a short skirt, and the outline of a gun in her garter, drinking tequila with the locals, and watching the sunset over her fishing boat while the gulls peck at the remains of the day’s deep sea catch.
Tom Giblin's Irish Pub, Carlsbad, CA - "Your Gibson"
08/20/2007 The video above is the debut of my new song "Your Gibson" at Tom Giblin's Irish Pub in Carlsbad, CA. That's my sister Carrie backing me up and making the song pretty. Check out her gorgeous voice at myspace.com/carriedenniston
Thanks to Jeff Diamond for videoing, and keeping us all coming back to Tom Giblin's on Sunday nights. He's got his own awesome music - check him out at www.myspace.com/jeffdiamond.
Surf N Saddle, Solana Beach, CA - "Homefield Advantage" and "Something Dangerous"
04/25/2007 Late night open jam at the Surf N Saddle in Solana Beach. Thanks to Tommy on bass, Frank on lead, and the drummer (whose name I don't even know yet) for jumping up to play and for all their awesome improv skills. Keep in mind that none of us have ever practiced together - but damn we have fun. And also, great thanks to Jimmy for filming this little piece of late night daphne history in the making, and to Jackson for rocking the Open Mic Wednesdays at the Surf N Saddle...
