About Me

MyGen Profile Generator Hailing originally from Stonehaven, Scotland I'm now based in San Diego, California.
My World Visitor Map!
My debut EP "Songs from the Cold Store" (available at www.cdbaby.com, iTunes, aol and various other download site's) was officially release in February 2007, I then played my first ever gig about a month later (and I haven't stopped since)!
Incidently, the inspiration of the CD's title came from a refrigerated food store on a ship I worked on. This was where I practised and wrote a lot of my songs. The Daily Star's headline was 'is this the coolest sound on the planet'?
It was recorded in San Diego's Strate Sound studio with highly acclaimed US based British Enginner Alan Sanderson (The Stones, Elton John, Fiona apple, Fleetwood Mac) and American Producer Marvin Glover.
Since the release of this CD there have been West Coast US tours, UK tours, Nation wide US college radio airplay, UK based airplay and numerous live radio performances and interviews (Original 106 Aberdeen, Radio Norwich). My US college radio campaign actually saw me chart at my highest position (no.4 amongst The White Stripes, The Editors and The Manic Street Preachers)!
2007 also saw me play the biggest arts festival on the planet the Edinburfgh Fringe festival. I played 3 nights in a row at the Acoustic Music Centre to near capacity crowds as well as a brilliantly recieved 3 week UK tour that stretched from London to Inverness culminationg in an emotional home coming gig in the Tunnels!
To finish the year off nicely I was nominated for San Diego's best acoustic newcomer at the San Diego H.A.T (honouring acoustic talent) awards, although I didn't win this it was a brilliant honour in its own right just being nominated.
The year 2007 has shown my whole musical range of raw bluesy electric guitar to folk like acoustic music to my audiences around the globe, thus allowing me to continue to play in any situation and to most audiences!
