MARVIN GLOVER - SINGER, SONGWRITER, PRODUCER

About Me

Marvin Glover has traveled all his life, collecting a wide range of musical styles along the way. Influenced early by his mother, a gospel singer from Selma Alabama, Marvin began singing in the church choir and soon learned how to play drums, flute and piano before discovering the guitar and bass in his early twenties. Marvin decided to pursue a career in the flight industry and met drummer Dale Carlson on the first day of orientation. Moving from Houston, to Hawaii, back to the mainland, Carlson and Glover drafted various airline employees over the years to play in their groups, The Attendants, Face the News and The Flight Club. After hooking up with producer/musician Bruno Modolo, Jr. in Seattle, Marvin summoned his former bandmates to Austin, Texas where he recorded his first solo CD. Released on his own label, Starving Dog Records, ONE was followed by a four-song EP, HOLIDAY LIGHT, in the winter of 2002. MUSE is the latest release showcasing Glovers creative talent as singer, arranger and producer with his style of soulful funk and groove rock that attracts listeners of all musical tastes and generations.
