About Me

…Amazingly, nothing and everything makes sense. Laughter transforms to music; words ensue like whispers in the night air. The music seems to have no barriers or crossroads. Just vastness. From a simple lullaby to an emotional ballad, it’s all there. Finding emotion then fulfilling its destiny is the true challenge. It’s a long road. I better bring a change of clothes.…
I was born in Hollywood and moved to San Diego as a child. I spent much of my life ignoring music. I had no interest in learning to play any instrument--although, sometimes I would sing along with the radio, when I was alone. It wasn’t until I was in my twenties that things changed: I had picked up a guitar and thought, “Whoa, this is cool!” I have spent the last eight years trying to figure out the damn thing. I can’t say that I’ve done a good job, but I’ve made my own little dent. Many songs I’ve written are about loss, partly because it’s just not easy writing about happiness and partly because of the dear friends who have disappeared because of our differences in music.
People often segregate themselves by looking at what type of music others listen to - metal, rap, punk, gospel, folk. Ironically, in the course of eight years music has drawn me close to more people than I could have ever imagined. I am constantly amazed by how similar all music is. People just want to tell stories. I am along for the ride.
