About Me

Born in Los Angeles, schooled in Hawai'i, travelin this world with a voice and a guitar.
He grew up with one foot in the city and the other in the sea. Whether he was roaming California, coming and going from Mexico, visiting family in Hawaii, or finding freinds from all nations in LA, he always kept his ears and eyes open.
Coming from a musical family, he received a guitar from his parents at the age of 14 which helped him prepare for a strong relationship with music. After having enough of life in LA he moved out to Hawai'i. On Oahu he found a deeper connection to the ocean and the people of Hawai'i. On Kauai he found teachers that helped him find his voice and songwriting style. Drawing from a vast list of influences from Bob Marley to Tom Waits to Nina Simone to Run DMC to breaking waves and subway trains and back again, giving him a unique style all his own.
On returning to the mainland he found himself traveling the country with a backpack and guitar for several years, playing his first show in New York city and returning to the city of angels with a new song in his mouth.
In 2004 he went out on the road for his first coast to coast tour supporting national acts. Spending the better part of the year on the road helped him hone his live skills and expand the definition of his music.
RootHub is currently residing in his home town, working on his debut record, living life, and spreading aloha. Hopefully he will get to sing you a song real soon
