The Free Your Hood Coalition is an organizing platform for people of color who are doing work against Police Brutality and the Prision/Military Industrial Complex. In short we are tired of seeing our brothers and sisters swallowed up by this system -so they can use our labor and bomb more innocent people. WE AIN'T HAVIN IT!!!!!!FREE YOUR HOOD began in 2004 at the close of a police brutality trial that involved members of Dead Prez and The A-Alikes. There was a tangible sense of frustration with the legal process and a desire to organize for change. DP's along with groups like P.O.W. and A-Alikes, The Malcolm X Grassroots Movement, InPDUM, Urban Mana, Critical Resistance formed The Free Your Hood Coalition. We seek other groups and individuals who are doing this work to link with and build our struggle for justice and human rights.FREE YOUR HOOD COALITION DEMANDS• An end to all anti- crime programs that selectively target communities of color using statistics or race as justification for denying residents their legally established rights.
