About Me

I grew up in NYC and played blues with Felix Cabrera in The Internationals in the late 70's and 80's. I also worked at Rudy's Music Stop building and setting up guitars with John Suhr, who now makes some of the finest electric guitars in the world. I moved to Vegas to raise a family and several years after getting settled started playing again. In 2005 I played the Monterey Blues Festival with The Legendary Moody Scott.Presently I am playing gospel music most Sunday's at Pleaseant Grove Baptist Church in West Vegas. I am also jamming around town and playing in a local blues band.

Influences: BB to Verdi - The Blues was the first thing I heard as a kid. All the great guitar players have been an influence in that they provided inspiration to pursue the art form. BB King, Freddie King and Eric Clapton inspired my love of the blues and my style of playing. Andres Segovia, Christopher Parkening, Elliot Fisk inspired my love of classical guitar and showed me the incredible depth and nuance the instrument can express without the need of amplifiers and effects pedals. I love Italian opera for the beautiful melodies and the great drama and emotion expressed in the music. Antonio Carlos Jobim, Paulo Bellinati, Carlos Barbosa Lima & the world of Brazilian music opened up an new world of playing the instrument. Whilte all may be influences to some degree, ultimately, I am blues guitar player, and that is what I do.
