Barraca da Bossa plays stripped-down versions of Bossa Nova classics and other Brazilian rarities. Drawing on the influences of musicians such as JoÃ£o Gilberto and Tom Jobim, the duo's music maintains Bossa Nova's original vibe, samba-inspired rhythms and Portuguese lyrics. This is acoustic music that evokes the pulse of tropical waves on a sun-drenched beach, as well as flowing melodies for "quiet nights of quiet stars."
