Lo-Key Fu

Gung-Ho 12" has hit the shelves! (TFBB001)

About Me

"He stands out clearly from the pack as a musician's musician, demonstrating skill and talent in equal and unstinting measure."
(Greg Kowalski, Inside Magazine)
"Electro breakbeat terrorist Lo-Key Fu has been moving from strength to strength, establishing himself as a dynamic live act on the Australian scene and a world class producer."
(Alfred Gorman, Xpress Magazine)
Screaming into the spotlight from deep Down Under, Lo-Key Fu has dropped the clutch on his own sizzling brand of street-level electrorock with the hard drive still spinning.
Generous servings of genuine elbow grease and time spent as a songwriter, vocalist, instrumentalist & remixer for original crossover band Rollerskates built an early reputation for being one of the hardest working innovators in Perth.
Launching his debut album Itchy Techno Finger to capacity crowds at Ambar Nightclub, then storming the stage with Lee Coombs & Meat Katie at Breakfest (thrice voted ‘Event Of The Year’ at the Perth Dance Music Awards) Lo-Key Fu capped off the season by walking away with the Best Electronic Producer title at the 2005 Western Australian Music Industry Awards.
Following rave reviews and regular rotation on Triple-J, RTRFM, FBI, 4ZZ, Twin Cities FM, BASE-FM and Pulse Radio, multiple remixes and a welcome endorsement from International Software Developer Ableton (via Musiclink Australia), the scene was set for some hard earnt International recognition.
A solid year of leaning on the low-end and frankensteining together some tub-thumping new grooves paid off. The track "Gung-Ho" - featuring accomplished funk diva Paula Graham - was unanimously selected as International winner of The Contender song competition, presented by Title Fight Recordings & Bijou Breaks.
Released in September of 2007, the Gung-Ho release hit the shelves running featuring on numerous store charts worldwide. With plenty of new tracks in the pipeline and a summer of live performances ahead all systems are go!
