About Me

..We're a five-piece new / alt country / power pop band based in Edinburgh. We play all sorts of stuff, some covers, but increasingly our own material.
We gestated for a couple of years, but things finally came together in January 2005. Now we're gigging regularly in Edinburgh and the Lothians.
We've supported The Felsons , and The Sunshine Delay .

You can hear us on internet radio station Americana OK's podcast ..22. Tom play Emilys Hollow Tree - have a listen - its a different version to the one on the myspace site.
Why Interstate 6 ?
There once were six of us. We wanted a name that would reflect the Americana that we play. Someone said "Interstate", and we added the six. So we decided to find out where Interstate 6 was, and tracked down this website , which chronicles the history of the numbering systems of US roads - mmm!
Bingo. As it says, "Interstate 6 has never existed."
Well, it does now.

At last ...

... we're getting round to recording a new demo. Life (or the lives of the five of us) just seems to conspire against it, but we're buckling down to it tonight. I hope.
