About Me

..... NEWS FLASH .....
the new album "SAMURAI" is finished and is available now
... comprising twelve new songs dredged from the weary and wine soaked soul of laconic front man Gareth Mcgahan, wrung out and hung up to drip by the fire of his trusty mountain kinsmen

History
four guys who at one time or another worked in the same bar - the legendary "sidewinder" in brighton UK;
came together over heartache and wine to create what’s been described as "gorgeous folk/alt-country pop - equal parts darkness and cheeky humour" and "a unique mix of swamp-folk and alt country blues"
one guy left to drink and follow a woman, two more sorrowful drunk guys joined, and then a third to make six, between them having 36 strings - that’s a lot of strings
"a great lazy country sound straight out of the Ozark mountains after a couple of jugs of moonshine" said one reviewer after the couple of jugs of moonshine they gave him, whilst one lady admitted "could inspire the waving of beer before running down the street naked" before adding "unfortunately, their CD is only available from their website right now"
so its onward upon the lovelorn path to the next bar...
