About Me

The Tug Creek Ramblers first came together in Summers County, West Virginia, home of the Great Bend Tunnel and the legend of John Henry. Steeped in the Appalachian tradition, the Ramblers play spirited acoustic string music. Brothers Red and Ned, and cousin Jed come from a long tradition of mountain musicians, having performed with the likes of George Ward, Joe Meadows, Jim Costa, and the Eastern Border Band, to name but a few.

Sounds Like: The Ramblers sound like a lonesome train whistle echoing down the valley, the creek rushing down the hollow to the river, whippoorwills in the moonlight, or rain falling on the cabin roof. The Tug Creek Ramblers sound evokes a simpler time when life moved more slowly and folks lived close to the land.**************************** BILLY TWO SHOES "APPALACHIAN MEMOIRS"The Billies are making music to help fund hunger relief in Appalachia.
