About Me

Have you or someone you love been touched with cancer? Are you interested in being part of the fight against this disease?
Relay for Life is an annual fun-filled overnight party/fundraiser to benefit the American Cancer Society (ACS). We celebrate cancer survivors and raise money for research and programs of the ACS. Teams of people from all over the community will gather at Tradition Field in St. Lucie West to take turns walking or running laps around the track. Each team tries to keep at least one member on the track at all times.
This is the 10th annual Relay for Life of Port St. Lucie, and it will begin at 6:00pm Friday, April 27th, and keep going until noon Saturday, April 28th. In addition to walking or running the track, there will be games and music all night, as well as a variety of fundraisers, raffles, food and prizes put on by all of the teams in attendance.
Teams come from all over the community - from businesses to church groups, community leaders to schools and student groups. Even friends and families send teams to the event.
Are you a competitive sort? Some teams organize friendly rivalries amongst themselves to see who can raise the most money - different departments of the same company do this. Or, if you'd like to put a student group together, for example, why not challenge some of your teachers to join the cause to? See who can win bragging rights by bringing in the most money for the American Cancer Society?
We all come out to help in the fight against cancer.
And you can too.
Organize a team today, and make your plans now to join us April 27-28, 2007 at Tradition Field!

My Interests

Ending cancer in our lifetime... putting the FUN in fundraising along the way.

I'd like to meet:

You!

Music:

Our theme this year? Rockin' Around Relay. It's all about the music at this year's Relay. Adopt a song, a band, a style, maybe even a musical. Get creative. If it's musical, it's up for grabs. But hurry - team themes are on a first come, first serve basis.
We are also always on the lookout for entertainment for this year's Relay for Life. If you are musically inclined and interested in performing please contact us today.

Television:

One of the best ways to support the cause is to help promote this event early and often. If you are affiliated with any television, radio, newspaper, magazine or other media outlet that would be interested in publicizing our event please let us know.

Heroes:

Cancer survivors and those currently fighting to overcome cancer. We relay for all of you.
