About Me

I have been told that I have gorgeous blue eyes that light up the sky when I smile and laugh. I have also been told that I am a raging know-it-all asshole who mistakes, in his own head, words like "gorgeous blue eyes" for "I want to kick you in the teeth." So there's that. I'm actually more of a writer by talent, although you probably can't tell from this rambling abortion of a description.

The KFC One Night Stand: Part 1

For months now, The Girlfriend and I have been salivating over KFC's brilliant slow-motion commercials for its new--yet apparently already-- "Famous Bowls." For those who have not seen these commercia...

Riding the Train of Thought: Stop Three

Here's the thing with Danny...I was twice his size. At a young 7, I towered over Danny by a good 10 inches and outweighed him by at least 20 pounds. In body, I was Nitro to his Ralphie. In spirit, the...

Riding the Train of Thought: First Stop

I went to a small private school for kindergarten through 2nd grade. It was run by a squat, angry woman named Joan out of a 2-story yellow house with a giant backyard. The backyard was our playground....

Riding the Train of Thought

On the Metro one recent afternoon on my way back from lunch with The Girlfriend, I locked eyes briefly with a woman I recognized from my past. She was sitting diagonal from me about three rows down th...
