Black Velvet Rock Zine

For Anyone Into Rock Music

About Me

Black Velvet is a UK independent printed rock zine that promotes great rock music! Visit www.blackvelvetmagazine.com for more info. Click 'Add As A Friend' to er... add us as a friend. Oh and buy a copy of the zine while you're here. You can order copies straight from this page if you have paypal! Having said that, it's also good to support the independent stores that stock Black Velvet. It's hard being an independent store these day, so please try and help them out by purchasing Black Velvet from them. Scroll down for some of the online stores that stock Black Velvet. You can order online from their site and have it shipped to you wherever you are.
IF YOU'RE READING THIS YOU NEED TO READ AT LEAST ONE COPY OF THE PRINTED ZINE - IF NOT EVERY COPY!
Our default pic shows the cover of the latest issue of Black Velvet zine. Issue 56's coverstars are The Audition. There is a 4 page interview with The Audition inside. BUY A COPY!
Black Velvet is an independent printed rock magazine based in England that hits the streets every Feb, May, Aug & November. We don't care about fashion or trends or what everyone else is listening to. We don't care what bands sell loads of copies. We don't care if we write about a band that you think sucks. If we love them then that's all that matters. We write about the bands that rock our world. Black Velvet is a non profit making zine. We produce the zine because we want to. If you've not checked out a copy, then we'd love it if you did.
Support independent zines. Buy a copy of Black Velvet - or even subscribe to Black Velvet. It won't break your bank balance and you'll be glad you did. We write about the best bands, our interviews are in-depth and interesting, our reviews are enlightening. We put our heart and soul into the zine. Even looking at the website just ain't the same. It's all about the printed, paper zine. If you don't have it, you're missing out.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q. Do you review demos/singles/etc?
A. Best way to find out is by buying a copy of the zine and seeing for yourself, you meanie!
Q. What is the address to mail CDs and other review items to?
A. The address is in the zine. You can order the zine from any of the online stores linked on this page, plus a variety of other shops that are listed at . If you have paypal you can even order from Black Velvet directly.
Q. You reviewed our CD/featured us. What now?
A. Good question! If you liked what we wrote about us, why not promote Black Velvet? Tell everyone your review was in issue x, tell friends to check out blackvelvetmagazine.com, put us in your top 8, put our banner on your page - and basically do something in return to promote us - since we promoted YOU. Remember, printing costs money, Black Velvet is a non-profit-making zine. If you can give us a mention once you've got a mention in the zine, that would be nice.
