ROB’S BIOGRAPHIE Der gebürtige Amerikaner Rob (19), zuletzt wohnhaft in Los Angeles, ist der Spaßvogel der Band und bringt mit seinem Skater-Punkrock-Style ein weiteres, lässiges Element in die Band: „Immer wenn ich das Gefühl habe, die Energie lässt bei den anderen nach, lasse ich mir irgendeinen Unsinn einfallen und bringe alle zum Lachen – ich kann gar nicht anders, als rumzualbern und rumzuspringen. Auf einem Fleck ruhig dasitzen, das wäre für mich das Schlimmste!“ erzählt Rob grinsend. Zeit zum Stillsitzen bleibt Rob aber sowieso kaum, denn das Multitalent ist in der Band auch für das Technische zuständig und dokumentiert alles mit seiner Kamera. Dabei bringt er die Erfahrungen, die er in L.A. gesammelt hat, in seine Arbeit mit ein. Robs Familie ist immer gereist und umgezogen, bedingt durch den Army-Job seines Vaters ging es einmal um die Welt und sogar für einige Zeit nach Deutschland – weshalb Rob auch fließend Deutsch spricht: „Ja, ich mag das Land sehr – die Leute sind cool und aufgeschlossen. Ich nehme Städte nicht wie ein Tourist wahr, sondern schaue mich genau um und will die Szene kennen lernen – Musik und Film, das rockt mich wirklich.“ Als es schließlich zurück nach Los Angeles ging, zog Rob mit seinem Bruder in ein Apartment und widmete sich den Dingen, die ihn interessieren: Musik, Film, Tanzen, Singen und dem Weg ins Showbusiness. „Ich habe mit meinem Bruder, der u.a. als Cutter, also im Schnitt bei Videos arbeitet, immer zusammen gesessen und ihm bei der Arbeit über die Schulter geschaut. So hab ich sehr viel gelernt.“ Der Style, den Rob in die Band bringt, repräsentiert die etwas wildere und genreübergreifende L.A.-Mischung: Ob Tanzstil oder Outfit – frei von Grenzen und ganz Robs Motto entsprechend… „Wandelbar und einzigartig zugleich – das ist für mich Vielseitigkeit, das ist das Ziel. Lexington Bridge setzt sich aus so vielen Komponenten zusammen, die jeder von uns in sich trägt. Daher weiß ich, dass Lexington Bridge auch rocken wird. “
ROB an his Band LEXINGTON BRIDGE, that are five individual characters, everyone with his own personality, combined to one grand union. Currently the are working on their soon to be released debut album (first single: „Kick Back“ RD: 02.03.2007) with the top of the line songwriter and producers like Tim Hawes (Sugababes, Atomic Kitten), Anthony President (Pink, Janet Jackson, Jamie Foxx), Qura Rankin (Christina Aguilera, Usher, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna) and Marek Pompetzki & Paul NZA (Shaggy, Sido). Whoever gets the chance to see the guys perform realizes that it doesn’t need words to explain LXB: These five young men with their incredible charisma and charm will capture everybody right away. Lexington Bridge - the bands name was created when the boys spent a lot of time at the recording studio in New York, being on Lexington Avenue. They were sitting together at their favourite restaurant talking about the style of the band: „We build a bridge between countries, cultures, styles and musical elements like Pop, HipHop, R&B and Dance – suddenly we had the idea for a name and LXB was born“ says Nye. The variety of the band also had an impact on the recording. The tracks of the debut album, which is to be released this upcoming spring were recorded in New York, Stockholm, Berlin und Los Angeles. Under the Californian sun they recorded their first single „Kick Back“(RD: 02.03.07). The chemistry between LXB and the US-Producer Qura Rankin (Christina Aguilera, Usher, Rihanna, Chris Brown) was right from the beginning and they went straight to the studio for a creative session.“ The result is an impressive taste of the debut album – and everything Lexington Bridge will present in the months to come: „The future is ours, with our sound and show we will create a bridge: to our fans and audience.
