About Me
Robert Alexander Uncles was born on the 17 June 1987 in Los Angeles, USA. Kids that grow up in a family of performers usually end up wanting to perform themselves. Rob Uncles fits that mold to a T. He was always performing and in his first gig at age six. From that point on, there was no going back; Rob was destined to be a star. After moving around the world with his family, father Tom, his mom Lisa, sister Brittany, and brother Thomas all returned to their home city Los Angeles. It wasn’t long after that Rob got an agent and started working as a dancer. Rob starred in various music videos and got to sing and dance, and more importantly do what he loves, to perform. His distinctive style sets him apart from most performers and he has an incredible energy and crazy sense of humor. Rob is very much an individual, a real “PUNKâ€, and a talented creative writer with several excellent songs and movie concepts as part of his growing portfolio. He likes to write whenever he has time out from his busy schedule. Basic Interests: Dancing, Recording Arts, Film, Urban Art....
Rob, the native-born American, most recently a resident of Los Angeles, is the joker in the band and his skater punk-rock style adds yet another enjoyable element. “Whenever I get the feeling that the energy levels are dropping with the other guys, I just think of something stupid to make them all laugh – I just can’t stop myself from doing crazy stuff and jumping around. Just sitting around calmly on the same spot, for me that’s the worst!â€, grins Rob. Being in charge of the technical details, Rob does not have much time to sit around anyway and he’s always busy recording everything on his camera. His experiences made in L.A. and beyond always play a role in his work. Rob’s family was constantly on the move as a result of his dad’s job with the army. He’s been all around the world and even lived in Germany for a while, which is why Rob speaks German fluently: “Yeah, I really like the country – the people are cool and open-minded. I don’t look at cities like a tourist would. I like to have a real close look at things and get familiar with the local scene – music and movies, those are the things that really rock me.†When he moved back to Los Angeles, Rob moved in with his brother in an apartment and devoted himself to the things that he was most interested in: music, film, dancing, singing and how to get into show business. “I used to sit together with my brother, who works as a video cutter, and I peered over his shoulder to see what he was up to. I learned so much this way.†Rob introduces a wild crossover L.A. mix to the band. From his dancing style to his outfit – it’s all freestyle and in keeping with Rob’s motto: “Always changing but still unique – to me, that’s versatility and that's the goal. Lexington Bridge is made up of so many different aspects that we each bring to it. That’s why I know that Lexington Bridge is going to rock.â€
LEXINGTON BRIDGE, that is five individual characters, everyone with his own personality, combined to one grand union. They represent Street-Urban-Pop and combine Hip-Hop, R&B as well as Dance elements to one unique, sexy, sweeping sound. Without a doubt LEXINGTON BRIGDE is the hottest and most exciting newcomer band… Nye (22), Rob (20), Dax (21), Jerome (22) und Ephraim (18) have one goal for 2007: Impress the European audience with their sound and energetic live-performance. The members of LEXINGTON BRIDGE are from England, the USA and the Netherlands and are able to create one exceptional style with their ease that will draw the attention of the world’s media. Currently the are working on their soon to be released debut album (first single: „Kick Back“ RD: 02.03.2007) with the top of the line songwriter and producers like Tim Hawes (Sugababes, Atomic Kitten), Anthony President (Pink, Janet Jackson, Jamie Foxx), Qura Rankin (Christina Aguilera, Usher, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna) and Marek Pompetzki & Paul NZA (Shaggy, Sido). Whoever gets the chance to see the guys perform realizes that it doesn’t need words to explain LXB: These five young men with their incredible charisma and charm will capture everybody right away.
Lexington Bridge - the bands name was created when the boys spent a lot of time at the recording studio in New York, being on Lexington Avenue. They were sitting together at their favourite restaurant talking about the style of the band: „We build a bridge between countries, cultures, styles and musical elements like Pop, HipHop, R&B and Dance – suddenly we had the idea for a name and LXB was born“ says Nye. The variety of the band also had an impact on the recording. The tracks of the debut album, which is to be released in winter 2007 were recorded in New York, Stockholm, Berlin und Los Angeles. Under the Californian sun they recorded their first single „Kick Back“(RD: 02.03.07). The chemistry between LXB and the US-Producer Qura Rankin (Christina Aguilera, Usher, Rihanna, Chris Brown) was right from the beginning and they went straight to the studio for a creative session.“ The result is an impressive taste of the debut album – and everything Lexington Bridge will present in the months to come: „The future is ours, with our sound and show we will create a bridge: to our fans and audience.“
