What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas...until now.

About Me

As a writer, my goal in life is very simple.
I'm here to shatter every stereotype you and/or the world has about Vegas showgirls.
Why?
Because I used to be one.
I'm currently writing a three-part memoir about my experiences living and working as an entertainer in Las Vegas (and please don't tell me you're having visions of Elizabeth Berkeley's pasties, because that's not what I mean by "entertainer"), and I'm using Myspace as a tool for marketing and promoting my writing. There's going to be some big things happening with my book in the near future, and I certainly wouldn't want anyone to miss out.
Having said that, there's something else I'd like to say outright: in all honestly, I get extremely irked by the judgment and stigma that comes along with being a former showgirl by those who have no idea what it's really like. I have to deal with it enough as an author, and I want this page to be about fun and enjoyment and connecting with other people, not about constantly having to stand up to frivolous and unfounded Vegas ideologies. So if you don't know anything about me or my experiences, click the banner above to subscribe to my blog - it's all there. And get the book when it comes out. Be apart of breaking the stereotype.
Yeah, it's a challenging task. But someone's gotta do it.

My Interests

There are two certainties in my life: I will die, and I will write. Most everything I do revolves around my writing.

There are some other things I like to do, though. I love to read. And cook. And write. And paint. And make jewelry. And write. And spend time with my favorite people. And do homework. Yeah, I said homework - I've learned to embrace my inherent nerdiness. Oh, and did I mention I love to write?

Actually, it's impossible for me to sit here and mention everything that interests me. Truth is, I'm interested in everything, particularly developing new interests.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone and everyone. I'm about as outgoing as they come.

I don't mean to sound conceited or anything, but I get a lot of random friend requests, so let me take this opportunity to say that if you'd like to add me as your friend, please send me a message and introduce yourself first. I know everyone's busy and there's not always time for one, but I'm not here to have a friends list consisting of thousands of people I don't even know. So click here to send me a message. If you don't, the request will just sit there forever and ever and I'll never accept nor deny it.

There's only so much I can say here and in the rest of my profile about who I am and what I'm all about, so if you really want to get to know me as a person and as a writer, subscribe to my blog.

All that said, feel free to drop me a line anytime - I'd love to hear from you. Oh, and anyone who sends me a message should know this: I read every email I get, but I may not always be able to respond right away. Please don't take offense to this. I try to reply as promptly as humanly possible, but sometimes the universe gets in the way.

So I guess that's about it, other than a couple more miscellaneous things:

One, please don't send me a friend request as part of a "Whore Train" and/or a way to bulletin your spam mail to me. That's almost as annoying as hearing the gardeners start the leafblowers at 7am on Saturday mornings.

And really, how many times a day do I need to see a "Win A FREE iPod!" bulletin? Exactly.

Two, I truly adore and appreciate everyone's comments, but if the comment is overly ostentatious and/or it contains any spam whatsoever, chances are it'll be removed.
