I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I've been in the film business, in one incarnation or another, for over 20 years, including P.A., 1st A.D., U.P.M., script supervisor, screenwriter, story consultant, director, producer and executive producer. I work as script supervisor on feature films and commercials, but I have several feature scripts under my belt and many other stories in development. I'm currently in negotiations with a studio to produce a feature I'm writing for a 2010 release. I also blog constantly about the film business at rosspruden.blogspot.com. Come find me on IMDB, Facebook, and LinkedIn.My parents are from down south, but I lived in New York for 19 years, Paris for 8 years, London for 3 years and San Francisco for 4 years... which always makes for interesting cocktail party conversation. Though I have no New York accent, I do speak French fluently.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who knows the proper usage of its, whom, they're, you're, doing "well" (vs."good") -- and if you know the difference between an em dash and an en dash, I *really* want to meet you! Also people who know about story structure, political philosophy, FPG, or film. Some (living) people I'd like to meet: Alan Ball, Steven Soderburgh, David Duchovny, David Lynch, Kim Rollins, Kevin Spacey, Bonnie Hunt, Oopsie Daisy, Matt Damon, Colin Wilson, Michael Newdow, and all the Justices of the Supreme Court.

A romantic drama... about chess?

I had a small epiphany last week. I have neglected my writing. Sure, I write reams of stuff, but it's either business plan writing, blogs, IMs, emails, tweets, or Facebook status updates, but for over...
