I'm Ash Victoria lead vocalist/lyricist for Manchester Alternative/Indie band Image Of A Girl (which can be found in my friends)

Well music has been running through my veins from a very young age, My love for music started at the age of 4 , I remember being obsessed with my parents LP collection and would find myself listening to all the greats on their record player practically all day long when I was being looked after by my grandfather, I would lie beside the record player in a hypnotic trance, thinking that music was my future. It was mainly the Beatles revolver L.P" that hooked me in. Our household was always a musical one. (there are probably some old tapes my grandfather kept, of me singing and singing my own lyrics!)

I have a reasonably good day job! to support the band & myself , helps if your musician to have an income, don't care as long as it's a decent wage and like i said supports my musical ambitions, and the band.

I live in Stockpot, share a flat with my best mate/business partner/bassist! Great place, and it's good to have my own independence once again wouldn't change that for the world I am extremely happy living with my best friends of nearly 8 years.

I am mainly an Indie/Rock/Alternative fan, but I do listen to all types of music as long as the music/lyrics are decent, Dislike most modern day R 'N' B and hip hop, prefer the oldies! sorry it's been officially ruined! I'm a friendly, sociable, intelligent, open minded, opinionated, confident, girl who's very ambitious, determined, very focused, I love singing, performing on stage, but most importantly writing songs (venting and expressing myself through lyrics) my lyrics *Are my weapon* My lyrics tend to be sociological, not political am Quite an articulate singer-songwriter a individual whose lyrics opt for realism, opinion, wit, asexuality, & melancholy also write a lot of poetry and have plans to read my poetry at various poetry reading venues in the future, I have been writing poetry since was 16, I will try and put some of my poems on here so keep checking my blogs!

My personal aim is to get my lyrics out there (my messages there are several!) hopefully have a career in music as a (Singer song/writer, one day, be an icon in Manchester music. I would love to write for solo artists too, and have my own production company, and possibly have some of my poetry published who knows?!

Main things that interest me are : Music, the band, writing lyrics, guitar, poetry, reading, art, long walks, sitting in parks (thinking), football (MCFC) Poker/Black Jack, philosophy, psychology, studying, culture, discovering new exciting bands on my-space, chatting to other band members, going to gigs, WRITING, WRITING AND WRITING! Expressing myself, (Through blogs on here also lol as if you didn't already know!)Spirituality, (pelmanism) Learning more about Life, having my own mind, opinions, being unique! (not a sheep follower) new world order/Illuminati (getting people to look at what's happening see the truth!)
As David has said (which set me free) There are two things that you need if you are to uncover and communicate what is really happening in the world. 1) Be free from any dogmatic beliefs 2) Do not give a damn what people say and think about you. Over thousands of years religion has best served a structure of human control - rigid belief systems that are never questioned, the rules imposed through fear, indoctrination, isolation and the mass genocide of non believers have provided the world with an invisible prison. Along with psychological fascism that we impose on ourselves through 'norms' and anyone who is different being forced to conform.......we are all prisoners. The japanese have a saying that goes ' Don't be a nail that stands out above the rest as that is the first one to get hit' I AM THAT NAIL
