Wasted

Wasted are a 5 piece band based in Greater Manchester. We play rock music which consists mainly of covers of the Guns N Roses and ACDC type, but we like to think we put our own spin on them too. We also have a continually growing archive of original material, which is borne from our passion for rock music.
We came together through dribs and drabs of other bands that all succumbed to the pressures of life in general and never really did a gig or achieved anything.
The original Line Up consisted Of Tom Carroll (Ginge) on vocals, Adam Luckman on Lead Guitar, Ben Harrisson on Rhythm Guitar, Benji Dixon on Bass, and Chris Harrison on the drums.
But Ginge left to pursue his career as lead guitarist for his college band, and Chris left us after we all realised he didn't want the same as the rest of us.
Within one mere week of this fiasco we had a new drummer (but an old face all round), in the shape of Lil' Dave, who's skill and general attitude brought us all closer together as a band and everyone's playing immensely improved as a result.
After then realising that none of the necked instrumentalists could sing, we recruited Joanne on lead vocals, and everything finally fell into place.
We then donned ourselves Wasted, and thus formed the first gigging line up of the band.
After a few gigs, Lil' Dave decided the band wasn't a priority and left to further his education at university, leaving the band in a sticky situation with gigs booked and no drummer.
Within two weeks however and just before the next gig, Simon was recruited to fill the whole Dave had left, and Wasted was back in action and ready to go.

We had a blast from the past with Wasted who were up next. They belted out some fantastic material of their own, and in between kicked out a whole bunch of covers from Sweet Child o Mine to Paranoid!!! With a special request from the sound man, Whisky in the Jar!!!! An hour of truly entertaining music - loved every minute of it!!! Was a pleasure working with you last night. Hope you enjoyed it as much as the crowd did and indeed ME!!!!
3DMP at the Thatched House
At 11pm on came a band who have played for me before – WASTED – such a lovely bunch of people. They have only been together for a matter of months and it does not show!! They play well together, a team, if you will. They..re tight, organised and above all extremely entertaining!!! They played nearly a 2 hour set with not 1 but 2 Encores – the Thatched people absolutely loved them. And at the end there was even a "WASTED" chant!!!! Totally well played people!!! Thank you for being there. Hope we will be working together again very soon.!!!
