Cheapskates

About Me

Cheapskates are Manchester's very own CLASH covers band. Not really a tribute as such, more a bunch of oddballs and drunkards playing CLASH songs and other carefully selected punk and ska classics and having a bit of a party at the same time. Well quite a lot of a party is the truth of the matter, in fact the more we get paid, fed and watered the longer we will play, only because there is a slight matter of amnesia due to alcoholism, other people like to call it Alzheimers but we are more than happy with the alcoholic status that has taken some considerable effort in attaining. We are not shy and are quite capable of holding our own in a slanging match, we will also applaud ourselves just in case the audience are too drunk to do it anyway. The Clash is obviously the major part of our contributions to the musical world but other bands such as SLF, The Damned, The Buzzcocks, the Ruts, The Specials, UK Subs, The Undertones and The Jam quite often make a welcome visit to our repertoire.bbccefefcc66f72ff56bc32a45e857f5
