Although technically I can say I’ve accomplished both goals (Warner Bros/Siena Pop recording deal in 2006) and having had songs put on hold by some of Country and Pop music’s biggest acts ( Carrie Underwood, LeeAnn Womack, Jordan Sparks, Celine Dion, etc). , it took those four years to truly find myself as an artist. It took that time and hard work to finally be able to say, "Yep! This is me. Not just 50% me or 75% me ... it’s 100% me!!". That realization came through my songwriting and the inspiration of many, many talented people here in this city. I asked out of my pop deal in 2007. Career wise, it was one of the harded decisions I’ve had to make, but I knew I had to follow my heart. I’ve worked and waited my whole life to make a first record and although I wanted it more than anything in the world, I knew I couldn’t be untrue to myself. In retrospect, I needed that time to become a better songwriter. Last fall I was taken around to meet some of Nashville’s biggest producers. I’m thrilled to say, I’m currently in the studio working on material with highly respected producer, Garth Fundis (Trisha Yearwood, SugarLand, Keith Whitley, Don Williams). I’m so excited about the sound we’re creating! It’s everything I’d been envisioning for myself for quite a while. Another thrill; getting to record all my own songs. It’s something I’ve worked at for a long time! The music is just so organic and real to me. I can’t wait to share this project with all of you! Thank you everyone who listens to my music, who makes it out to the shows, who shares their time and talent with me. You inspire me. Check back regularly for news and music!
