From the dank, South suburbs of Perth emerge a band under the title of Allostene.
Allostene were named and born in January 2005.
After the splitting up and lineup reshuffle of neighbouring High School bands 'Dementia' [Lynwood Senior High] & 'Cellador' [Willeton High] in late 2004, the four utmost musical prodigys of the area, sat around drinking beer, spinning Led Zeppelin vinyls until 5am. Dreaming of sounds and things to come.
They shared a common interest of quality musicianship and a love for old school hard rock. Although there wasn't an adult among them, they had vented their musical passion for years, and each mastered their preferred instrument of choice. ...And quickly they set about writing together. After three months of intense writing they entered Satelite Recording Studios and layed a three track, unreleased demo.
The following 10 months was spent perfecting and polishing a setlist of songs in Shein's garage, investing in new equipment and playing casual shows, large parties & gatherings (whereby they'd recruit fellow friends & schoolmates, who would later pack out gigs.)
In 2007 they set their sights and sounds towards the Perth pub scene. After competing in The National Campus Band Comp and being selected as a Wildcard to headline the 20 minutes of Fame finals they began booking shows all over Perth, Fremantle and Mandurah performing at venues such as Players Bar, The Newport, The Leopold, The Foundry, Swan Basement, HQ & Hyde Park in support of bands such as Mink Mussel Creek, Elora Danan, Battlecat, Disclaimer, The Amity Affliction (Qld), The Rivalry (Adl), Streetlight, Dyscord & Anime Fire. (to name just an excellent few)
Allostene set the stage alight with presence and instrumentality and are never modest about showing off their live soloing antics, especially to an adoring audience. Their versatile Classic Rock-sound & stylings go well amongst many genres of artists and even those with a specifically aquired musical preferrence are quick to compliment the sound of Allostene.

Allostene will enter the recording studios in July 2008 to record their debut EP to be released in the second half of 2008.
