My Interests

I greatly appreciate Inspiration and Creativity.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who is willing to allow me to appreciate who he/she really is; doesn't expect either of us to be completely perfect and can enjoy the uniqueness in a few flaws -- whatever they may be; and desires to make a difference in the world even if it's as small as making someone else smile

While I appreciate all forms of creativity including humor and music, please don't ask to be added as a friend if you're only looking to promote yourself, group, or business for personal profit. Sorry

Music:

While many in my family have been involved in some aspect of the music recording industry, I have not. I'm more of a visual person, so music is often just in the background for me. I enjoy the experience of listening to music with others whether it's classical, jazz, heavy metal, hip hop, rap, lite rock, hawaiian, or what have you. I'm captivated by lyrics that reflect the depth of the humanity by putting thoughts and feelings to words. The commitment artists give to these words impresses me. But most of all, I delight in renewing myself by drawing away from the world to a still place listening to christian praise and worship.

Movies:

So many of these visual storytellers are amazing geniuses. You are drawn into this art in motion and there is no escape (not even to go to the restroom). This is not your family home videos; it is so much more. While my fav for many reasons is Listen to Me I also like: Freedom Writers, Accepted, Nicholas Nickleby, Radio, Hero, Shawshank Redemption, Finding Nemo, Antwone Fisher, Drumline, and just too many that I've forgotten since those brain cells have died.

Television:

Better than TV...

Fine art from a fine person

Books:

That requires being able to read, huh? Well, my fav is a children's book: Just The Way You Are. (I said I was visual and it has lots of pictures.) Walter the Farting Dog (That has lots of visuals too, but thank goodness no scents.) And lots more with nice pictures.

Heroes:

I'm inspired by regular people who go beyond themselves to make a positive difference in this world; people who don't let circumstances determine the outcome of their lives but continue to strive for their dreams; people who have taught me what friendship means by being there to provide support, mercy, encouragement, and forgiveness regardless of what a _________ I can be at times (hey, that blank is for only one word although I'm sure you can think of many!); people that are true to who the Creator made them to be; the X-men; Power Rangers; and Santa Claus! (What?! Who said he isn't real? Who drank the milk and ate the chocolate cookies I've been leaving for him every year?)
