Jonny Lightning, Jon Light....no matter. It has been my pleasure (extreme) to pick some steel with Sean Kershaw & The New Jack Ramblers for two and a fraction years up until a couple of years ago. A residency at Hank's Saloon learns you a whole lot. I forget what. It will be my pleasure to sit in with the bruthas in the future when the situation arises. I'll be popping up here & there with Ben Krieger & Karen Hudson , sitting in on occasion with The Jimmy Nations Combo and Shotgun Shack and with other people in other places just when you least expect it. If you come by and say "MySpace sent me" I'll probably dive under my guitar until the coast is clear because Myspace is downright creepy.
I'm currently involved with a new project that's got me kinda jazzed. I've joined up with these cats, Banjo Jack (you'd think that blinking shit would be annoying, wouldn't you? But it's not!) and we're seeing where this takes us. First group in years that I've joined as a non-freelancer which says a lot about what I think of the music. Recording is in the plans. Keep an eye on that site for the dates of our upcoming shows.
