I've been playing (bass) guitar for about 27 or 28 years,I was influenced first by country music bluegrass and gospel so thats were my roots are....I grew up in a family of steel players and singers so their was never a day without music around the house....I grew up loving all different types of music everything from country to rock, jazz, funk, blues.. you name it and I'll probably like it. My first love is a fusion of funk and rock,And the band that did it best through the 70s and 80s and are still great today.... Mothers Finest one of the greatest live groups that ever walked out on a stage. I've admired alot of Great players like Stanley Clark..Jeff Berlin..Jaco Pastorius..Wizard..Steve Lukather..Shawn lane..Marcus Miller..Terry Crisp..Stan Lassiter..Brent mason..Pat Martino..Frank Gambale..Jean Luc Ponty..Al Di Meola ..Robin Ford..Dennis Chambers..Dave Weckel..Steve and Jeff Parcaro..Simon Phillips..The Brecker brothers..Some of the bands that I listen to were..Toto..Bruford..Dregs..Yellow Jackets..Chick Corea..Steely Dan..Jeff Lorber..Weather Report..Rush..Journey..Mothers Finest..And the list go's on. I listen to all types of music and a lot of different musician's back then and I still do,and I believe It's made me a better musician because of it.
