I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I strongly believe in having a positive outlook on life! I have been lucky enough to go around the world- the one thing that I know for sure- if you are genuinely kind to people and have an open mind, the world will smile back at you! And those who aren't on the groovy train? They are missing out on all the fun!

My Interests

I love stand-up comedy, music, live entertainment, travel, having new experiences, being shot out of a cannon, trapeze, taming lions, and spending time with quality people! I am also patiently awaiting the day that science allows us to be able to ride seahorses! I'll be one of the first to take one out to Catalina Island!

I'd like to meet:

Zoot from the Muppet Show Band and anyone inspired and super groovy!

Music:

The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, QUEEN!(if anyone out there knows where to get a life-size cardboard cut-out of Freddie Mercury...keep a sister in the loop!),G.Love and Special Sauce, The Most Chill Slack Mob (SF's premiere hip-hop band), James Torme'(completely inspiring!), Bob Marley, Anya Marina (SD's most soothingly sweet singer/songwriter),Stevie Wonder and all Funk!

Movies:

The Groove Tube (quite possibly the best collection of 70's sketch comedy pre-snl), My Favorite Year, I Love You Alice B. Toklas (Peter Sellers in the grooviest period piece about the 60's in Venice Beach), Living in Oblivion (the best indie movie about making indie movies with Steve Buschemi), Caddyshack (can't help it!),The Beatles Anthology, Backbeat (an amazing movie about Stuart Sutcliffe the James Dean-looking painter-Beatle that died at 21),The Talented Mr.Ripley (who doesn't like to see a thriller with the most beautiful people set in Italy in the 50's?), Walk the Line,The Kid Stays in the Picture- (yet another astounding tale from Hollywood), anything directed by Tim Burton, anything with Jack Nicholson, Dean Martin, Marilyn Monroe, Cary Grant, Peter O'Toole, and any groovy 60's movie!

Television:

Laugh-In, The Love Boat, Lost(for the LOVE OF GOD, please let this show not become totally ridiculous!), Reno 911, The Soup, The Dick Cavett Show, The Muppet Show, Heart to Heart (how can you resist a couple that fights crime, drinks champagne, and always has a lovey ending!?) , The Tonite Show with Johnny Carson, Moonlighting, Happy Days (with Ralph Mouth and Potsie), That's Incredible!, The Sid and Marty Kroft Supershow- with Electra Woman and Dynagirl, H.R.Puff'n'Stuff, and Land of the Lost, Grizzly Adams (which totally inspired me to want to run away with my dog, Columbo, as a 10 year old and live off the land),Old Friar's Roasts, and of course The Match Game (who doesn't love a smarmy gameshow host hitting on midwestern women in front of drugged out and drunk quasi-celebs?)

Books:

Happy Times by Brendan Gill,The Way You Wear Your Hat... The Lost Art of Living (if you are interested in the Ratpack-this is the quintessential book complete with tall tales from the days when they couldn't get arrested if they tried!), any inspirational autobiography or biographies!

Heroes:

John Lennon, Frank Sinatra, Craig Ferguson, Peter O'Toole, Peter Sellers, Stevie Wonder, Jim Henson, Dean Martin, Bernie Brillstein, James Brown, Bill Withers, Charles Dickens, Dr. Seuss, and my dear old dad.
