About Me

I was born January 19, 1809 in Boston, where my mother had been employed as an actress. Elizabeth Arnold Poe (my mother) died in Richmond on December 8, 1811, and I was taken into the family of John Allan, a member of the firm of Ellis and Allan, tobacco-merchants.After attending schools in England and Richmond, I registered at the University of Virginia on February 14, 1826, the second session of the University. While there, I became an active member of the Jefferson Literary Society, and passed my courses with good grades at the end of the session in December. After university, I ran into some money problems, so, in a disagreement with my dad, I moved to boston. There I published a little volume of poetry, Tamerlane and Other Poems. It is such a rare book now that a single copy has sold for $200,000.00

My Interests

I like reading, writing, and sipping on a sweet nectar that opens my mind and allows my creative genius to emerge. It is called Abscinthe.

I'd like to meet:

I'd love to meet William Shakespear. His works were of great inspiration to me. I'd also like to meet Stephen King. I hear I am of great inspiration to him.

Music:

I fancy classical tunes in the form of Mozart, and Bach.

Movies:

I don't know about movies, but I've been known to populate the local theaters every now and then for a rendition of Hamlet.

Television:

Okay, I've just discovered this delightful contraption. I've now purchased one for my home. There is so much information to be found on the world that I don't know how I ever got along without one. I usually tune in on Monday nights to watch WWE Raw. I'm a Kane fan, naturally.

Books:

Many of my own. I love reading my own writing.Henry, T. Carlton. Letters to an Anxious Inquirer, Designed to Relieve the Difficulties of a Friend Under Serious Impressions.

Heroes:

Sir Thomas Dale, Governor of Virginia. He led the path for the exploration and settlement of many colonies in Virginia.
