If Mastodon and John Lee Hooker were to have Pantera's love child they would name that bouncing baby band WORKHORSE. These guys crank out some of the heaviest and most wicked progressive southern metal and blues-rock your ears have ever grooved on. The live energy of this band is like the circus gone awry: some hairy, sweaty beasts conspire to break free and toss you around like a rag doll; leaving you battered yet oddly satisfied. With cutting, subtly innovative hard rock, Workhorse has jumped out of the rut of many of their peers. Trading in ominous heaviness for punk's buzz-saw melodicism couched in metallic sound structures, this band plays with a fire and thunder that will bring a drunken man to Jesus. You'll leave a Workhorse show impressed with the players, and they look like they're having a blast!Workhorse has developed into a major player in the Colorado heavy music scene. They have shared many a local stage with some of Denvers' best bands, nationals, and even Japan's Electric Eel Shock. Be sure and catch the next Workhorse show in your area cause once this horse gets out nationally you will be paying WAY more to watch them live!-Doug Newville, CMB -Tom Murphy, WestwordBEASTS OF BURDEN is now available in STONER ROCK.COM's "All That's Heavy" section, and of course is still available at iTUNES, FISTMUSIC.com, MILEHIGHMUSICSTORE.com, AMAZON.com, BestBuy.com, CircuitCity.com, VH1.com, SamGoody.com, Target.com, CDUniverse.com. etc. so if you haven't picked up a copy at a show check one of these places out and get yourself the Beast!
