Krislyn Woolley, a 17 year old female drummer, who is starting to make some noise in the music industry. She is trying to leave behind her small northeastern Ohio town. Beginning at the age of 7, Krislyn has always been involved with music. Starting out small learning by ear, Krislyn played along with her favorite songs, and studied as many drum videos as possible. She started playing gigs around her hometown at the age of nine. She has played in worship bands, local bands, festivals, colleges, stomp and everything in-between. Being introduced to all different styles from jazz to punk to even hardcore screamo, she studies them all and takes each technique to another level. From getting noticed with Flyleaf, from her drum covers, to Brian O’Neal contacting her to perform with him, even asking her to record with him in the studio. Her exposure on myspace is sky rocketing from getting offers everyday of people asking her to do projects with them and making new drum videos.
Bands from Los Angeles to New York City have contacted her in hopes to do projects in the near future, as she is finishing up her schooling. She is just looking for that one opportunity, that will get her discovered. Krislyn endorses Precision drums, which they are based out of New York, and The Kelly Shu, which is based out of Lincoln, Nebraska. Krislyn has also managed to get attention from big companies like Silver Fox drumsticks, Vic-Firth drumsticks and Zildjian cymbals, as well as numerous different endorsers, as they are watching her progress and have interest in striking an endorser deal, which is amazing considering her age and where she lives. Getting the support of the fans of her drum videos, and her music and the fact that she has the best stage presence you will ever see from a drummer, the possibility for Krislyn seems endless, as she works with different bands and record labels. There is no limit to what she can do for you behind the drums.
Being only 17, and already accomplishing what she has done from the endorsers, to the performance with famous Jazz/funk musian Brian O’Neal, getting noticed from Flyleaf, all of the recongizition from fans and musicians, including producers and record labels. There’s no telling what this young bright upcoming star can accomplish if she keeps going strong. You can’t go wrong with this drummer. Not only does she play her music, but also she plays with a powerful message, as she tries to get across her positive message to anyone who will listen. She plays her drums in a way, where you can’t turn your head away from her. You have to watch this 17 year old rip apart her drums one by one, until she is done.
