AND......Sandy has played in several rock/pop/other/alternative music projects, both original and cover in and around Los Angeles and Las Vegas (ranging from clubs, lounges, biker bars, outdoor venues, coffee houses, festivals, recording and of course put my time in at bars/pubs)........ Now currently based in southern Oregon drumming with original band GREENSTONE...CHECK OUT GREENSTONE'S website at myspace...... Sandy has also played drumset and percussion in university ensembles in California at CSUN. While in Las Vegas Sandy was a jazz studies performance major on drumset and vibraphone at UNLV and drummer for jazz ensembles as well as jazz combos. Final stop in southern Oregon at SOU studying classical percussion and playing drumset and percussion in the university ensembles. I started playing drums when I was 8 playing to all the great music of the day (playing tables with pencils and flatware much earlier I am told). I took lessons when I was 12 when my largest heroes were Neil Peart and John Bonham (they still are...there are just many more more now). My drum teacher at the time urged me so to learn the musical language. At that time I did not think it so important..... Well, I am 2 classes and 3 convocations from my B.S. in Music and have skills such as reading music, reading charts, charting out tunes, music theory, musical form, musicianship, and playing to a click track that contribute to my rock/pop/other/alternative drumming...CHECK OUT GREENSTONE'S WEBSITE FOR MORE MUSIC AND YOUTUBE VIDEO OF GREENSTONE MUSIC myspace.com/greenstonegroove
