It's quite the shocker to strangers that this humble and diminutive female (yet ferocious fireball), is a Professional Drummer and Drum Instructor. "She's barely 100 lbs. soaking wet" (stated by singer,MARION WESTON , in an interview with KISM 92.9FM).
Naomi Faith started kickin' in the womb and has showcased her talents playing in the music industry for many years. Naomi traveled on her tour bus and flew in the big planes from the young age of 4 through high school as a "PK". In 1997 she was asked to move to Europe on her own for music reasons. Plans soon changed, and she branched out on her own 3,000 miles away from home to start a different journey in her life. Since then, Naomi has been playing for a wide variety of artists and many events. Her style has been known as "hypnotic", "creative" and "entertaining" over the last several years as her passion turned to a career and life of connecting with people from all over the world. "I always try to be involved only in songs that I believe can really touch people's hearts somehow, and I know it does when I connect and make eye contact with individuals in the audience or when they come up to me after a show and let me know. Sometimes I get the goose bumps when I hear people sing or play their instruments. That's what I want for the fans to experience in the bands I play for", she said with a sparkle in her eyes. Her spunky and energetic heartbeat, carries through to her sticks as she beats on the drums with her shoes off and gum in her mouth when performing on stage. "I like to feel as close as possible to my instrument without any barriers when I am drumming" she explains as her reason for playing barefoot. Naomi Faith loves to encourage the young and old to go for their dreams, put their love of music to use or drum just for some good ol' fashion "ANGER MANAGEMENT" (as she likes to call it)!
Naomi Faith sums it up-"No matter how long I continue drumming or teaching drums...music will always be a huge passion of mine! Music IS LIFE for me personally. I don't know what I'd do without it to be honest with ya. I'm a true addict and always will be...". She's clearly in love and it seems her plan is to continue down the music industry path while making it her goal to always connect with her fans' hearts.
