About Me

I'm a card carrying member of the Clean Plate Club. I like sequins...a lot. I don't have friends in high places, but I do have friends in faraway places, which means I like to travel whenever time and money allow. I still hate emoticons. I'm not as smart as I used to be. I have a mild attitude problem. I'm thinking about making my dining room my bedroom in an act of flagrant feng shui disobedience. I like projects (like making my dining room my bedroom). I also DJ on BOMB SQUAD THURSDAYS @ Liar's Club as DJ JUNE CLEAVAGE. It's really fun, you should check it out.

My Interests

Brunch, sweater weather, spinning the hits and misses for the misses and misters, letting the Braille wall at Continental aka THE ORACLE whisper its wisdom to me, witty repartee, a well made bloody mary (see "brunch"), interior design, my friends, my cats, Lola, becoming Marc Jacobs' next muse because I love his clothes but can't afford them, making fun of the sanctimonious, getting people to see things my way, getting caught between the moon and New York City, public transportation, maps, sunglasses big enough to cover the world's worst hangover, double entendres, foods on a stick, lip gloss but not stick, blue and green, pajamas, self respect.

I'd like to meet:

People who are looking to hear an eclectic blend of rock in all its myriad forms on Thursdays and believe in tipping their bartenders well. People who say "please" and "thank you." People who refrain from emoting with punctuation marks. Nice people, funny people, and those who share common interests.

You can never go home again, but you can still get a rad cheddar burger.

For someone who grew up so close to Chicago (Evanston), I rarely go to visit my hometown.  I don't really keep in regular touch with most of my friends from high school (and the ones I do talk to...

A year older, but none the wiser.

Hey All, It appears as if this ass-whip of a winter seems to be finally giving way to some more temperate weather.  Perhaps it's because it's almost May, or because Mother Nature loves music and ...

Nouvelle Electronique pour Homme et Femme.

I have an idea for a new cologne.  I want to make a cologne that smells like new electronics.   This idea is inspired by the mixer I received from a very kind and generous benefactor on...

A Salient Point from Mr. Siriano

I was so happy that Christian won P. Runway.  I was honestly worried that he wouldn't have the commercial appeal that P. Runway was looking for, but in the end justice was served.  It blows ...

Mistakes are funny.

This morning on my way to work, I was trying to think about Molotov cocktails, but what I thought (and said) to myself was "mazeltov cocktail."   What would that entail?  A bottle of Mogan D...

Oh, look!

Jim knows how cranky I get when I don't take my Geritol, and he fashioned me a flier posthaste: So there you go.In unrelated news, I am having one of those Lean Cuisine panini things, and the heating ...

My birthday soiree.

So I have kind of a weird thing about the pimping of one's own birthday party on the MySpaces.  I just think it's kind of gauche.  Yes, I am a total high Victorian elitist snob.  I am a...
