They all have their own gifts and talents. Of course they are all in different sports/activities/groups and so on... therefore the mom-mobile is always on the way to or from somewhere. Such is life as a mom.This past year or so has opened our eyes to how delicate life can be. My husband lost his best friend, his sister Nyla, to a life-long illness last March. Then his father to brain cancer just a few months later. I lost a wonderful uncle last February, and a most precious aunt in April. During all this, our oldest son was facing a life threatening condition which by the grace of God was diagnosed and corrected. My sister-in-law, my late brother's wife, is fighting a long courageous battle against lymphoma..and winning it! She has been thru so much, but strongly presses forward. Then to top it all off my sister was diagnosed with breast cancer. She had a double mastectomy and a full hysteroctomy in January of this year, after undergoing several chemo treatments. And I'm happy to report that she is on her way to a full recovery! All of this has taught us to cherish each moment and not take time for granted. My father is a lung cancer survivor. Yes, we are very blessed to have so many survive. I truly believe it's due to people donating to the American Cancer Society to fund research. Cancer has touched 2 out of 3 people in some way. Either directly or by knowing someone who has/had some form of this horrific disease.This year I joined my local "RELAY FOR LIFE" in Barberton, OH. to be held July 19-20,08 at beautiful Lake Anna. I believe each one of us, young, old, or in between, can help the American Cancer Society find a cure with research funding. Please join the fight! Info is posted in my BLOG.Every day is significate.
