Mathew Joseph

Composer and lyricist, singer and guitarist, Mathew Joseph, from the coastal state of Kerala in the south west of India, brought to the stage of World Music his debut CD release, "Firefly" in 2004 - a reflection of his experiences with the magic and mystery of his homeland, and of his many travels in the high Himalayas.A childhood filled with music, many years spent exploring a variety of musical styles and his recent re-union with multi-instrumentalist Oliver Rajamani and reggae virtuoso David Estes have resulted in a delightful celebration of sound and a refreshing journey of the spirit.Mathew scored and performed the music for Waterspout theatre's 2005 production of Shakespeare's "The Tempest" staged at the historic Fort Hamilton, Bermuda."Mathew Joseph and friends" performance at the 2005 Bermuda Classic guitar festival {which also featured the "Katona twins" and Andrew York of the Los Angeles Guitar quartet} invited a billing to headline the Bermuda Classic Guitar Festival 2006.
