Department of Virtuosity

A perfect place for virtuosos

About Me

Personally, I don't consider myself a capable person, but I always try to be diligent and conscientiously fulfil my duties. I subscribe to the principles: "mistake-making is typical of human's nature" and "nobody is obliged to do something out of our abilities". I think that I am mentally strong and there aren't things which could plunge me into torpor or depression. It follows from my personal distance towards the world and future thinking that supposes both the most optimistic and by far the most pessimistic future's visions in the clash of unavoidable God's power. Most precious values in my life are God, health, the closest family, friends, books, swimming, cycling, movie soundtracks and... my dear virtuosos, haha. I try to use many pieces of advices from my parents, own brother and friends, but I act best on my own in scientifical and music-oriented matters. I'd like to keep it invariable.I study at the University of Warsaw (Information Science and Book Studies) to become an infobroker (a professional who can fast look up and manage the information). I am also a journalist of specialist HMP Magazine from Poland (Warsaw), the editor-in-chief of the HMP's official website, and also the chief of Department of Virtuosity's directory and reviews . I and my editorial colleagues write mainly about traditional kinds of hard'n'heavy music plus such genres like: progressive rock/metal, symphonic, neoclassical hard rock/metal, shredding, AOR, blues-rock, jazz/fusion, avantgarde, techno-thrash, rock & metal operas and classical guitar-oriented music. My specialization is phenomenon of virtuosity in music. I've written many biographical articles on bands and solo artists representing virtuoso kinds of music. My life goal is promoting the VIRTUOSITY that I love. I have my own column "Department of Virtuosity" that is a direct reference to the Mike Varney's "Spotlight" column, published in "Guitar Player". I am open-minded to different genres and tolerant towards dissimilar people as well. I am conscientious, disciplined, well-organized, cognitive (self-stimulating and striving for a permanent learning) and with no bad habits (like smoking or alcohol overusing that have the power to make us slaves and finally destroy).
