Vito Bratta (born July 1, 1961) was the guitarist and main songwriter for the 80s rock band White Lion from 1983 to 1992. Bratta's style earned him worldwide acclaim, as well as numerous awards, including Guitar World magazine's "Best New Guitarist" in 1988.
Following the breakup of White Lion, Vito played on one track on a Coven-Pitrelli-Reilly album. The song was called E-11.Despite his cult status and guitar-based following, Bratta has not been involved in the music industry in any capacity since 1994. .Amazingly in all the time of his complete absence from the Music world.Vito still to this day is voted in polls across the net as one of the greatest guitarist of our time.
In 2003, Mike Tramp (former White Lion vocalist), attempted to reunite with Bratta but was unsuccessful.
Just in 2/16/07 Vito finally broke an almost 16 year period of public silence..Vito does not"work with computers",own a pizza restaurant, or works in the real estate field.. There is some truth to a hand injury.. Vito has been out of the spotlight for Many reasons..They list From trends in the music scene in the 1990's To many other personal reasons to this date. But honorable Reasons. Not because Vito Bratta does not want to play music again..
Obviously Vito puts his family first and his health along with staying true to his art form and style of playing...I think that would quickly sum that up for now..
