About Me

Im a Freelance photographer. I do events and other occassions that come my way - I start at $30 an hr for parties (2 hr minimum). Weddings I charge a flat fee of $800 - this includes the before (rehearsal etc..)the wedding itself and the post wedding festivities - no time limits. For photoshoots (portraits and bands) the price varies (it depends on location and length). I speak Estonian and some German. I know some phrases in Norwegian/ Russian/ and Czech. You can spot me in Hendersonville at various functions or in the Asheville area carrying a camera and sometimes a tripod around with me. Best place to find me in the afternoons is Gourmet Perks on Merrimon Ave. - my 2nd office and if not there... the Dripolator. I now use a Nikon D200 pro camera and use a Nikon D70 as my backup. Next month I plan to buy a Lomo fisheye camera - watch out world!! I have various lenses but use a 28 - 105mm as the mainstay - this lense also has a macro feature on it as well. I have a Holga medium format film camera that is very artsy but hard to shoot I must admit after being spoiled by digital. In addition I have a light tent for product shots if any or you are in need of that.

I'd like to meet:

George Harrison... he had some great songs. Henri Cartier Bressons - great photographer. Tolstoi, and my new favorite Carl Sandberg.

Music:

Beatles - esp George. U2, The Clash, Bad Finger, Radio Head, Los Lobos, anything... I like it all blues, jazz, folk. Ive been to Bachs house and heard a piano recital on one of his pianos. Ive also been to Paul McCartneys house...I saw Paul peep out the window at me.

Movies:

Made in Estonia, White Cat Black Cat, Bringing Up Baby, Animal Crackers, Napoleon Dynomite, Goodbye Lennin, A Hard Days Night, Downfall, documentaries - alot of things... I go thru phases where I dont want to see any movies at all - then watch everything that comes out...lol

Television:

Dr Who, Lost, Monk, the news...not really into television that much - its a time and mind killer.

Books:

Blue Like Jazz, The Road to Ubar, War and Peace, Crime and Punishment - went to Dostoevski's Flat Museum in St. Petersburg Russia - but I cant stand The Idiot - one of his other books I mean. Classics mainly. Really gripping stories about overcoming struggles etc...

Heroes:

Anyone who goes thru great adversity and lives to tell about it!!
