PAUL ZOLLO is a songwriter-singer, leader of The Zollo Group, author, photographer and music journalist guy. He is a man, an American, an Angeleno. He is alive now.
He is the leader of The Zollo Group, a tribal folk-rock-jazz-funk ensemble featuring Zollo along with Kirke Jan on drums, Billy Salisbury on bass and Aaron Wolfson on guitar. His first album as a solo artist is ORANGE AVENUE, which features a duet with Art Garfunkel on the song "Being In This World. He’s currently recording a new album, UNIVERSAL CURE.

CONVERSATIONS WITH TOM PETTY is by Paul Zollo. He needed Tom Petty to do it. Without Petty it would have been just CONVERSATIONS WITH, which is bad English and also dull. It features interviews he conducted between 2004 and 2005 that focus on the music and life of this legendary songwriter.

Already released (we think) in the UK and coming to our shores in February, 2008 is SCHIRMER’S COMPLETE RHYMING DICTIONARY, a massive tome of rhymes which is nearly 900 pages long and has some forty pages of musings on the use of rhymes as well as this lengthy and inspirational lexicon of rhymes.
He;s the author of a voluminous collection of 62 interviews with the world’s greatest songwriters, called SONGWRITERS ON SONGWRITING (EXPANDED EDITION).
Zollo is a celebrated photographer; he is the chief photographer for bluerailroad, and is presently compiling work for his first book of photographs. He also does a weekly photo essay for Campus Circle magazine, and occasionally a cover photo for them. His photos have been displayed at Cannibal Flower, Nocturna, The Infusion Gallery, Joe’s Diner and the Memphis Cafe.
He has photographed people throughout North America, and some animals and flowers and streets. He has photographed Leonard Cohen and James Taylor, and that alone is reason to rejoice. Here are some samples of photos :
