About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V3.6 !
I'm a lucky bastard emplying a host of imperfections. i can be hermit-y. No, really. It's been to the point where friends have had to go to small lengths to find out if i'm still alive. i swear like a sailor. I drink like one too. A Champagne cocktail or a Negroni are my weakness.~ Especially in a beautifully crumbling watering hole in some glistening nocturnal city. ~~~~ Where was I? Oh yes...I adore vintage things. I am loyal to my friends. Passionately so. Although, as we've already established, I can disappear for a spell here and there and am notorious for having phone-a-phobia. It isn't you. I just need to go inward & collect my thoughts and decipher it all. I'll resurface soon enough. I find cliques creepy. And snottiness not only unimaginative, but ridiculous. I have a KING KONG sized irrational fear of airplanes. Which is truly painful because my deepest dream is to travel the globe like a fool. Life is unfathomably short. I don't want to miss a thing. ..................Shhh! Mr. Benchley is still snoozing!

My Interests

Lotte Lenya's mouth. ~~~Obsessing over Art. Doing artwork. Realizing the ultimate insignificance of it. ~~~~ Autumn. Train travel. Vacant depots. Laughing til I leak. People or things that cause this to happen. ~~~~Expatriotism. ~~~~Also: Decay. Challah french toast. Pumpkins. Crows. Warm loamy soil. Unnerving things. Insane conversations til sun-up. Hangover cures. Politics. Old bookbinding smells. ~~~~Abhoring being in love. Gloaming. wet Redwood forests. Solitude. Snappy overlapping banter. Having a PICNIC ! - (but never in a crowd)! ~~~The underdog. The 1920's. Forgotten vernacular. Handwritten letters. Afternoon cocktails. Observing people doing people-y things . Playing 78's. ~~~~Wild flowers. Petting lonely pups outside supermarket entrances. ~~~Sprinting on the sidewalk at 3 am. farmers markets. ~~~Loomis and his extraordinary poetry. Absinthe lore. Books that pull you in and permeate your being. Inclement weather. ~~~~Old Hollywood. Old buildings. Old painted ladies on their afternoon excursions, in their moth-bitten finery, who obviously came here to Hollywood in the 1920's to find fame and fortune. ~~~~Mossy brick pathways. The silver wrapped familiarity of a Ding-Dong. Mercury glass. Garden dwelling. Old friends. Making new friends. Green mint tea. Taking photos. Cooking big pots of scrumpty-delicious soup. Scrambling eggs. Eating figs. growing Terragon. Gut feelings. Longing.

I'd like to meet:

A madman with a time machine. A drop-of-the-hat-mad-hatter. Those with a lusty grasp of the absurd. A brilliant cook who could teach me how to make a sumptuous Bouillabaisse. Kindred souls who feel they are living in the wrong era...the 1920's and 30's feel more like home, don't they? Iconoclasts. Playmates. Paramours. Those repelled by conformity and the mundane. Misfits & Oddballs who never quite fit in anywhere. Passionate people who see beauty in unexpected places. Old people who have lived fully and recklessly, and want to talk about their experiences.
