I will try to cover the fundamental bases, but I can go as far into depth and detail as requested... Probably too far... I have a feeling you may want to buckle up... I tend to be a bit... um.... overly detailed... but I'll try to stick to the necessary information. Thank you!)BIO!KID MADUSA is Lindsay Desirée Heath. (That's me.)I have always been an artist and musician, playing piano by ear since the age of two, and singing since birth.I've played as a drummer / percussionist / keyboardist / synth / electronic noise maker / lead singer / back up singer / guitarist / bassist / marimba / vibraphone / experimental noise / etc.I've played in bands such as: "Delicatto", "Vile Blue Shades", "Mushman", "Phono", etc. in the past... (there are really too many to name...)I became a professional drummer about six years ago, in my project: "Redd Tape", which later became "The Tremula".
Here is a link to a pressed interview I did while in "The Tremula":http://www. recoilmag. com/interviews/the_tremula_0905. htmlI did extensive touring with these groups (though we never made it into the U.K. - we were actually turned away at the boarder for fibbing about being traveling musicians!)I mostly toured throughout North America / Canada over the last six years as a supporting act for other well known artists.Supporting bands such as:
"Mates Of State",
"Rainer Maria",
"Elliot Smith" (his last show),
"Sonic Youth",
"The Shins"
"Joseph Arthur The Lonely Astronauts",
"Inner" (Jenn Turner)
"Sybil Buck"
"The Letter E"
"Shipping News"
"Deerhoof"
"Shannon Wright"
"Helio Sequence"
The Ditty Bops",
"LeTigre",
"Rogue Wave"
"The Old Haunts"
"Dengue Fever"
and various projects with my friend Nels Cline, from "Wilco",
the "Scott Amendola band",
and "The Nels Cline Singers".To name a few.I have always been a song writer, and while I absolutely love drumming / percussing, melodic fronts have always been my aspiration. So, I tapered down my commitments to bands as soul drumming position, to put my focus into my own solo project, as "KID MADUSA", I have written over thirty complete (ready to record) songs, and have countless (infinite) works in progress.Usually I begin the writing process with piano, or guitar, lyric / vocals, then writing drums, and personally playing all of these instruments in a studio recording. So with all of these elements out of my head and combined as foundational tracks, I then have professionals perform the instrumentation which I am least professional with, such as cello, violin, stand up bass, professional guitar, brass, etc.So, in brief, I write and perform all of the piano / key / synth, vocals, and drums in the recordings of my songs. For my performances, I have a large group of accompanists who back me up regularly. Though, being the songwriter and visionary, I do perform solo consistently as well. Which usually looks like me with my keyboard, singing, sometimes with back up tracks to create an ethereal / atmospheric / sound with electronic beats.
MySpace URL: http://www. myspace. com/kidmadusaI have worked with many accompanists, regulars include:Wallace "Filthy McWhiskey" the guitarist. Wallace will be touring and performing in KID MADUSA for the N.Y.C. / U.K. tour.Wallace is also a song writer. We have been playing together in an art collective group we have been known to call "Drodna" (which means "LOVE".) DRODNA is made up of many varying musicians. Which is why I am naming this upcoming KID MADUSA E.P.: "We Are Drodna".Wallace adds a very unique element to my songs. With obvious Rock / Gypsy / Celtic / Balkan / Reggae / Jazz / Avant Guard / Experimental roots.... The sound Wallace creates is unlike any other I've yet heard. He is a brilliant musician, and together we do all of the song writing for all of our performing material.Wallace plays a vast assortment of classic stringed instruments, including a restored 1930's guitar, mandolin, Irish Bouzouki, electronic and organic samples, loops, and beats, amidst a very unique set up of effects pedals.Wallace and I have been performing as a two piece for a year, and we will be performing as the two piece for our upcoming N.Y.C. / U.K. tour.

-*Bronwen Beecher: Violin
A classically trained violinist, left Loyola University in 1997 and began a journey into traditional and secular music. Her travels took her to Cape Breton, Canada and even China looking for the best and most varied musical experiences. Several incredible teachers and hundreds of pubs later she is back in Salt Lake and, as one paper described her “...nothing less than virtuosic.†Bronwen’s passion for writing and performing music which joins ancient Celtic music with contemporary relevance is in full force with gypsy / experimental. Add to this, her delusions of being Jimmy Hendrix incarnate, a genuine love of ‘80’s stage maneuvering, and a hint of whiskey, and you have an electrified fiddler with a cause.
Bronwen has a very unique style, proficient in Celitic / Gypsy / Bluegrass / Reggae / Rock / Experimental styles.
She is front woman and songwriter of the band "The Salty Frogs".

-So that's the core band.If you're still here, you are amazing. My sound is quite unique, but very catchy I'm told. My music is most often compared to artists such as: Beach House / Boards Of Canada / Sonic Youth / PJ Harvey / TV on the radio / Bat For Lashes / Björk / Erik Satie / Portishead / My Bloody Valentine / Blond Redhead / The Yeah Yeah Yeah's, Coco Rosie feel, etc.Though... I venture deeply into my own musical exploration and what I feel to be virtually undiscovered sound scape's, which naturally separates my music from my obvious influences. My group and I have a very full and atmospheric sound. "Powerful" and "Dance-able", say journalists.Which finally brings us to:CONTACT DETAILS:*ME: ~Lindsay Desirée Heath
