About Me

Welcome to Get Out To Live Music

http://www.getouttolivemusic.com

Get Out To Live Music was born out of necessity. “Necessity is the mother of invention.”

Have you ever tried to find a band in your town on a given night that plays the type of music you like? Of course you have. And, not that you are tied of your regular bands; but it would be nice to discover a new band and maybe at a new place from time to time, right…

How about when you travel? Have you tried to find a band in another city that you might like?

Our quest is to fill the gap left by the many other great Internet resources and provide this information to you. Our agenda is not hidden. We are targeting musicians to get them to join Get Out To Live Music for free and to manage their schedules there. By doing so, we will easily be able to find them by their genre even if I don’t know who they are.

Here is the deal : Our site is brand new and certainly will have issues we will need to work out. So, for the first two to three months, we will be in Beta. Anyone who joins during this time will be considered a Charter Member who will receive special treatment later when we offer other paid services that we feel you will enjoy. Of course, you can always just stay a Free Member for as long as you like and be able to use the search engine to find out who is playing wherever. We suspect the buy up will be something you will value. So, Charter Members will get a 50% discount on the first year paid membership if the features appeal to them.

So, what makes us different than our competition?

The search engine is based on Genres. You search for only the music you like in the city you are interested in. Wow… That is powerful.

What else? Yes, we are in this to make money. But, our fees will be very modest for the Premium Services. And of those fees, we will contribute 5% of the Revenue to non-profit organizations that support musicians. Our love is Live Music. You can’t have that without musicians, and we hate to see musicians struggle. So we have built into our business plan a way to give back to help musicians through the hard times and to help promote their business – Live Music.

So, with all that said,

If you are a Musician, please register and help us make this the best musician search engine on the Web.
If you are a Music Lover, please join and be a part of something really great that will help you find Live Music you will like.
If you represent a Venue, please register also; so people can find out where the best music is played.

We are really excited to bring this service to you and look forward to meeting many of you at the numerous live music events we attend every year.

Ion Avenue::
Indie Folk Rock

Lead Singer, Songwriter, Rhythm Guitarist Angie Goodale along with her bandmate Doug Morton (Guitar, Backing Vocals) are the foundation of Ion Avenue. On the Atlanta music scene since 2003, the band has graced stages ranging from the Atlanta Dogwood Festival to Club 29 with various lineups and continues to pleasantly surprise audiences. "I think when people hear music online they don't get a true indication of what the band is really like. I frequently get feedback about how different we sound Live" says Goodale.

With thoughtful and sometimes difficult insight, Goodale writes the way a painter might paint a piece. "With every little color that's bleeding fast/Liquid photograph tell the truth what colors have faded". Here she writes about the falling from grace among friends as one minute you might see a cheerful group picture of friends until someone makes a crucial mistake and suddenly their image in that picture is faded. The song "Liquid Photograph" is undoubtedly a favorite among fans.

Bandmates, friends, and local music supporters themselves, Angie and Doug embody the spirit and attitude that defines loyalty and passion for music. The duo continues to win audiences through their natural chemistry and friendship which has seen them hold steady through changes in the Atlanta music scene. If you love The Pretenders or Counting Crows you'll love Ion Avenue.
