About Me

Having been a manager at an independent bookstore, and ready for a career change, I've decided I want to share my love of romance novels with others. I have years of experience reading romance novels, so it's only natural that romance is where I have chosen to become an entrepreneur.
I've publicized events for non-profit organizations, as well as a program I was involved in that resulted in an interview by one of the local television stations. I've recently been involved in publicity for a few booksignings. With my experience and innovative ideas to promote authors, both online and off, I'm looking forward to working with, and meeting, many authors and fans.
The Love of Romance will offer promotional opportunities, book reviews, a calendar of events, and other fun happenings to bring authors and fans together.
If you read or write other genre's, I would love to talk with you, too. Just because it's a Love of Romance, it doesn't mean I can't/don't love sci-fi, fiction, fantasy, or any other genre.

Music:

I play the piano and flute. As a result of my musical training I enjoy a wide range of music. I listen to classical music with a preference for performances featuring the piano. Pop and Country music from the 40's through today are also favorites. And I really enjoy going to Drum and Bugle corps competitions.

Movies:

My taste in movies is as wide as my musical tastes. So, I won't even try to list even a part of them. But, my absolute most favorite movie of all is the original Dirty Dancing with Patrick Swayze. It's my prayer that he will beat cancer.

Television:

Ok, I admit I'm a reality TV fan *g* Not all of them, but I do have favorites. I've only missed one season of Survivor. I think it was the second season when they were in Africa. The Biggest Loser is at the top of the list, with Hell's Kitchen and Survivor close behind. The Amazing Race and Dancing with the Stars round me out. I don't care for the prime time game shows.

Even though I love reality, I also enjoy the CSI shows, NCIS, The Unit, Law and Order and other dramas. And let's not forget the one and only sport I watch. NASCAR! I used to root for Sterling Marlin, and still do when he's in a race, but I've become a BIG Dale Earnhardt, Jr. fan. Only good thoughts for him as he integrates in his new team.

Books:

Not only do I read romance novels, but I read just about anything I can get my hands on. I have so many authors I totally enjoy, I can't count them before I run out of fingers and toes. I've read some amazing fiction this year and non-fiction that has me mesmerized. I enjoy young adult literature, too.

Heroes:

My husband. The men and women who serve our country and I pray that our POW and MIA soldiers will return to us.
