The Make Believe

The Make Believe is an intensely creative quartet of top notch players quickly ascending the ranks of Chicago's improvisational rock scene. Catchy, original song-crafting, tight grooves, and full throttle improvisation are each trademarks of the groups fresh and evolving sound. Incorporating jazz, fusion, rock, soul, and reggae, the group handles these styles with enough grace and confidence to make even first time listeners REAL believers. Beginning in the summer '04, TMB was the brainchild of guitarist and songwriter Ernie Hendrickson and drummer/composer Brian Abraham of MC JUICE and The Machine and formerly of Cornmeal. Joined by Chris Clemente, renowed Chicago bassist recognized in bass player magazine for his work in fusion groups (Drop Q, Kick The Cat, The Renagades, Amazing Headgear), the band began to discover its true potential. After completing a two month residency at a Chicago nightclub, TMB landed a spot on 3DMAS's Winter Compliation CD featuring bands such as Umphrey's Mcgee and Fareed Haque Group.
