(This profile is not updated)My name is Brian Abraham. By day I teach drums and piano and by night I produce electronic music and play with 3 bands (featured here on my top friends). My music production is what I am showcasing here on this profile which is clearly non-commercial due to it's dark nature; however, I also freelance a bit by selling hip hop to emcees, providing drum programming for the likes of Umphrey's McGee ("Bright Lights, Big City" as heard on 93.1 WXRT), and a bit of music production for the likes of Harpo Studios for The Oprah Winfrey Show (thanks to Chris Clemente of The Make Believe which is one of three original bands I play drums for). The 1st band I am in is JUICE AND THE MACHINE (myspace.com/juiceandthemachine). In this band I play hip-hop drums (and sing a bit) backing the most talented battle emcee I have ever witnessed. I can proudly say that I am the drummer for a rapper who has earned the title as THE GREATEST according to his almost perfect battle record. I believe he has about a 99% win record for battles which include the world famous Scribble Jam! JUICE has earned international recognition by beating such hip hop legends as Eminem and Common______________________________________________________

The 2nd band I am in is
____________ THE MAKE BELIEVE (themakebelieve.com) in which I am a drummer, backing vocalist and secondary composer___________________________________The 3rd band I am in is
_____________7 LEAGUE BOOTS (7leagueboots.com), an avantronica/live d'n'b band I am the founder of in which I am often the primary composer and programmer. I play drums, rhodes and a sampler in this band. I have considered myself a jazz influenced drummer and composer for most of my music career so I am lucky that the original projects I am involved in usually end up being some kind of jazz/fusion hybrid. This is even the case in the JUICE project which I believe sets us apart from most live hip-hop projects. In my electronic music production I know that it is clear I take influence from such artists as Boards Of Canada and Wagon Christ but would love to set my standards to the likes and technical caliber of Aphex Twin, Squarepusher or Amon Tobin someday when I am more experienced. I use a digital audio workstation named Logic and another midi program called Reason and I am VERY fond of the MOOG emulators. I believe Bob Moog to be one of the most important figures in musical history. This is my cat Selim. He is my best friend.
