i am a drummer and i make beats. i also go by retrac and rick marley. chicago is where i stay. i started experimenting with a 4 track and a casio sk1 in 1997-98. started playing with sound effects via an art drx. graduated to an mpc 2000xl in 1999. i multitrack into cool edit via an ardvaark direct pro on an old ass pc. i sample a lot of different shit and over the years i have also worked with a lot of heavyweight musicians. i most recently made an album with dj onceamonth called meat number 5. it's based around the idea of a genetically engineered meat. like yellow number 5, but for meat. we are playin shows and also i am starting a new band where i'm just playin drums called mike videogames which will be poppin soon.
