My family moved to Georgia when I was 2, and since then, I’ve lived within 100 miles of the house I grew up in. I was a loner through high school, not a natural leader, and NEVER a follower. So I had to find my own way. The road lead me to Athens Ga. where I was lead singer of Elysian Field, and then Gypsy Cab Co. in the late 80’s and early 90’s. I got married, and we brought three children into the world. They drive me, inspire me, frustrate me, make me laugh and sometimes make me want to cry. So music got put on the back burner. But the fire was never put out. After close to a 10 year hiatus. I got a guitar ( my Ibanez ) so I could put simple chords, tempo and rhythm together with the words that had been trapped inside my head. Some may assume, that because I say Jesus, Moses, and use other Biblical references in my lyrics, that I am a Christian Rocker. If that’s the way you hear it, so be it. I grew up in a good Catholic family. ( I Love My Family ) I went to Mass and Sunday school religiously until I went to college. Once on my own and left to my own devices, I slowly but surely drifted away. Well, in all actuality, it was pretty quick. Some may say I am lost, and some may say I have found myself. In fact, the Bible calls me a fool. But that’s OK. I believe what I see, ( not on TV ) and I claim not to know what else is out there. The fact is, we are all just guessing. There are doubters, believers, and fakers. I could easily fake you out, but if there is an All Knowing Being, not so easily could I pretend. To be quite honest with you, I am a doubter. Like they always say “If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.†I still try to live by the Golden Rule. You Know, “ Do unto others….†And like everyone, I continue to stumble. I do not know why I’m here, but I have had a few near death experiences. So I guess I’m here for some reason. I think I’m done having children, so maybe it’s my music? If you are not turned off by now , get your head right and really LISTEN!
