Handmade Soap: Our soap is handmade with no animal fats - only olive, coconut and palm oils. Our soaps contain all their glycerin. Glycerin is a natural moisterizing by-product of the soap making process; it's a humectant which means it draws water toward itself. All comercial soaps remove the glycerine and add it to their lotions where they can make more money on it. Some commercial soaps that claim to be moisterizing simply replace the glycerine with oil, leaving your skin not hydrated but oily. If you have dry skin but are still prone to break outs, "moisterizing" commercial grade soap is probably your problem - it drys out your skin and clogs your pores. If you have any kind of dry skin condition, all natural, handmade vegitable oil soap is the best for your skin. Our soaps are generously scented with essential oils: patchouli, amber, sandalwood, orange, california lemon, eucalyptus, cedarwood and lavender and fragrance oils: rainforest, cucumber melon and chai tea. One bar will scent your whole bathroom! We sell a 6 ounce bar for $3.99 or 3 bars for $10. You can also get a bottle of lotion and a bar of soap for $10.

All Natural Lotion: Our lotions are made with all natural ingredients in the same scents as our soaps. You will love them all. Everything you put on your skin gets absorbed into your system. Most lotions are made with petrochemical products. You don't need to be absorbing all those chemicals into your bloodstream every day. Use natural body care products. 10 ounces for $7.99. Refill bottle for $5.99!

Candles: Our premium candles are made with palm wax. They are sootless and long lasting. Scented with essential oils, these candles are petrochemical free; good for your house and for you! votives to pillars $2.29 - $16

Tapestries: (traditional block prints from india, local tie dyes, embroidered and overdyed from india

Kitchy Collectibles: 50 's lucite purses; 70's vintage clothing - western shirts, hippy mama dresses; 50's ceramic ashtrays and tv lights

Door Beads: traditional wood and bamboo with many patterns and pictures. Did you know you get a little bit cooler every time you pass through the door beads? It's small, but incremently over time, it adds up! Also, we have mod plastic beads in many colorful shapes and crystals. $19.99

Avoid the mass market/box store/mall culture. These kind of corporations only care about large profit margins, not you or the town you live in and especially not the exploited workers in their sweatshop factories in China. Trust your instincts -shop locally. Every dollar you spend with a local merchant is like a donation to the heart of Rockford. Keep the mom and pop shops alive!

We are willing to barter and will trade for any useful or resaleable items, arts or crafts that you may have or produce! See our website at www.minglewood.us
