B.T.A. RECORDS, located at 1524 Broadway in Rockford IL, is a music store/chill spot for people that love music. We cater to the underground punk/hardcore/grind/death/black/crust/kitchen-sink scenes. Our objective is to continue to build a flourishing underground music community in the Northern IL/Southern WI region and beyond. Also expect a wide variety of events and activities to be hosted at B.T.A. anything from Forums, workshops, info-shops, demonstrations, D.I.Y. projects, skill clinics.....come get involved!
Because we still operate in a capitalist country(world?!?), we are forced to at least try to pay the bills with the revenue from selling merch. That is, making a living doesn't mean we have to consciously and relentlessly reproduce the logic of conservative business culture and entrepreneurial capital. B.T.A. Records is 100% volunteer run, and any money made goes directly back into making this the best music store it can be, or other related punk/diy projects.
We have records/CD's/DVD's/tapes/patches/t-shirts/hoodies available for buy/sell/trade, and are also open to carrying merch from local punk/hardcore/grind/metal/etc bands in the area. If you're interested in having B.T.A. carry your merchandise, feel free to get ahold of us.
